Windom, Minnesota Careers
Welcome to Premium Iowa Pork – Windom, Minnesota
Premium Iowa Pork (PIP) is excited to announce the development of our new pork processing facility in Windom, Minnesota. Purchased from Hy-Life during their 2023 bankruptcy, the facility is being transformed to include a state-of-the-art smokehouse and will produce packaged meats like sliced bacon, sausage, and case-ready hams.
A New Era for Windom
Led by President Dan Paquin, who brings over 11 years of leadership and a lifetime of experience in the pork industry, PIP is committed to creating top-quality products while supporting the local community. The facility is set to open in early 2025, offering excellent opportunities for skilled workers.
Why Work with Premium Iowa Pork?
At Premium Iowa Pork, we pride ourselves on being a family-oriented business. With strong roots in the pork industry, we create a supportive environment for our employees, many of whom have been with us for years. We value long-term relationships and offer stable, rewarding career paths.
Job Opportunities
We are hiring for a select number of positions focused on skilled labor. Unlike during the plant’s previous operation as a Hy-Life facility, which employed over 1,000 workers, including those on H-2B visas, PIP is committed to using local labor. Our workforce will be smaller, with fewer than half the employees that Prime Pork had. We are currently seeking:
- Plant Manager with a background in processed meats.
- Management positions with expertise in bacon processing and case-ready production.
- HR Manager to lead our human resources efforts.
We pride ourselves on family values, tradition, and the promise of delivering nothing but the best to tables across America. If you’re looking for a career with a company that values your expertise and provides a supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you.
